In September 2010 my only goal for my senior year was to play college football. I really didn’t notice how big I was until one day it hit me. I weighed 288, 6’0″ tall, and a body fat percentage of 40%. I wore 2x-3x t-shirts and a 44 in size waist. I knew I had to change something in my life goals. After I had changed my mind and decided to go for academic instead of athletics, I began my weight loss journey.
I started hitting football practice hard and the gym even harder. Trying to balance my dedication between school, football, and the gym was extremely difficult, but to me that just made it a greater challenge. The gym began a workshop for my body. I began to see toning in all parts off my body like never before. Between the gym and dieting I shed off 90 pounds in about 4 months. I now weigh 198 pounds and grew to 6’1″. My body fat is close to 15% and I wear medium shirts with 33 size pants. Also by staying dedicated to school and football I was awarded 1st Team All-District for Center, ranked 5th in my graduating class, and was chosen as an Allstate Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete.
