Anthony Parigi, Crestview

My name is Anthony Parigi and I want to first of all tell you that it is an honor to even be considered for the spotlight member at Riviera Family Fitness. The competition for that position is great as I look around the gym day in and day out looking at the results and maintenance of the many members who take pride in themselves. The staff is incredible. They have been very supportive along the way making it an easy transition from fatness to fitness. They have not only been a great staff but great friends as well.

I had the same disease that many people often have. I was a great high school athlete and still worked out while in college keeping what I consider for the most part fit. As I approached my mid twenties I got the dreaded ‘I like beer & food’ disease just going to work, eating and going home. I work as an office manager traveling to different projects in various places and left home to come to this latest project here in Crestview, Florida. As I packed my vehicle I was disgusted what I had let myself develop into physically and I told myself that I would return home a different person physically than when I left.

Arriving in Crestview I found myself seeking a gym and on the main drag there it was Riviera Family Fitness. I stopped in talked with Bill and signed up. On one of my first visits to the gym I came with a co-worker and he told me to weigh and immediately was scared when I saw on May 18th, 2010 the scale reading 381lbs. I was determined to lose weight not only for physical appearance but for health reasons.

I began coming to the gym on a regular basis talking with Brandon Mobley and Corey Biggers – one of the personal trainers. They were very supportive and gave me different ideas. Brandon directed me towards Zumba and other activities the gym offers. With my dedication and the support of the staff and members as of today August 24, 2010 just 3 months at Riviera Family Fitness I am now down 80lbs and currently still gaining results. Thank you Riviera Family Fitness for helping turn my fatness into fitness because here at Riviera Family Fitness we are motivated and we know it. Thanks to the gym and staff I will now return home a different person than I arrived.
